LAKEWOOD, Ohio – Gov. Mike DeWine visited Lakewood High School last month under the pretense of safety, choosing this photo-op moment to announce $68 million in grants to 'improve' safety at 945 schools. The K-12 School Safety Grant Program grants can be used for safety improvements, with equipment such as cameras, loud speakers, exterior lighting, electronic door locks, fences, and window coverings. According to Gov. DeWine, this $68 million comes from the $112 million allocated in House Bill 45.
