CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Pittsburgh's Will Loevner won the 2023 Cleveland Marathon on Sunday, with a finishing time of 2 hours, 19 minutes, 56 seconds. After Lakewood's Jeremiah Fitzgerald won marathon in 2021 and 2022, Loevner became the first non-Ohioan to win the marathon since 2019. Loevner was visibly fatigued and dealt with cramps on the sunny course. 'I was cramping a little bit at mile-20, but got through a rough patch and felt good to the finish,' Loevner said. But by the time he was crowded by media with his medal, Loevner had a big smile on his face.
