LAKEWOOD, Ohio -- The Ohio Afterschool Child Enrichment (ACE) Educational Savings Account program offers families free access to enrichment and educational activities. Recently the Lakewood City Schools Community Recreation & Education Department was approved as a service provider for ACE's Educational Savings Account program, which provides up to $1,000 per student for a parent or guardian to use for a variety of programming options. 'It's a program sponsored by the Ohio Department of Education that's basically providing scholarships up to $1,000 for kids to participate in educational opportunities,' Lakewood City Schools Director of Community and District Activities Mark Walter said.
